After graduating from Texas City High in 1985, April pursued her cosmetology license at San Jacinto South, laying the foundation for her future ventures. She took the bold step of becoming her own boss, establishing the salon Ebony And Ivory, later rebranded as QAB Beauty Bar, a thriving establishment in LaMarque, Texas.
April's entrepreneurial spirit didn't stop there. In October 2009, she ventured into the fashion world with the opening of Queens Attic Boutique, strategically located inside the salon. This collaboration creates a unique one-stop-shop experience, catering to women's self-care needs encompassing both hair and fashion.
